Draco pointed his wand as his list of possible suspects and incinerated it with a quick spell. His logic was flawed, it had to be; he was missing something. The latest two gifts were sitting on his bed and he just knew they didn't fit anyone left on the list. The first was a pair of protective gloves; not surprising for a Herbology professor, but it was their beauty which took his breath away. They were practical, but elegant and delicate. Then there was the robe to match. Both gifts were perfectly him. His suitor almost knew him too well.

When Harry saw Draco pulling on the gloves just after breakfast, he had to work very hard not to smile too much. Every time he saw Draco wearing one of the gifts it gave him such a thrill. It had taken him a while to come to terms with the fact that he was head over heels for Draco bloody Malfoy of all people, but he was nothing if not adaptable. Draco could be prickly and offish, but Draco also had a soft side few people saw and a sense of humour to rival the greatest pranksters in Hogwarts' history.

It was galling to be out played, but Draco then realised something very important. His suitor had to be clever and cunning or Draco would never stay interested. His suitor had to be a little bit Slytherin or they would never match. He was being courted by someone who was proving to be perfect for him.
