I can't be the only one who thinks this is terribly suspicious, can I? Or have you all forgotten the dreams so soon in your enthusiasm for the miserable sky that's afforded us no more freedom than before?

There was a mention of a virus, of infection. The itching, the burning... Devouring ( Read more... )

Woah, woah. Did I miss something? What's this about dreams of a virus?

You're new here, aren't you? I don't recognise you, at least.

Recently the dreams had a rather... Foreboding focus on viruses. Even going so far as to suggest we were infected with something. I'm understandably worried by it, even if no one else is.

Yeah, I am. Sorry, I should've said something instead of throwing out questions.

...Weird. Do these dreams always tell the future, and do they come often?

I've been here over a year. I'm used to being asked stupid questions from newcomers, at this point.

Sometimes they foretell some grand occurrence, and they occur once a month. Without fail. Always, once a month. A miserable hell for the entire city to endure.

And what do you know of viruses of that particular nature?

Enough to be useful, if the city should be plagued?

I would keep it close under your hat for now then, Ashford. If I were you.

It seemed like it could be the T-Virus, to me. The symptoms matched, if those were indeed symptoms. Itching, fever, the man tore "our" collective heart out and started to feast upon it... While that wasn't "our" own action, it could still symbolise something.

Alexia's a virologist. While I don't know nearly as much as her, I made my own observations and studies of her work, if only to understand it that much better. I know... Little more than the basics of how viruses and viral outbreaks work, but it's more than most can say.

Why's that?

T-Virus...the one from your world, which Wesker worked on as well, correct? Indeed, that is cause for due concern.

Useful, nonetheless.

Because. Some information can serve greater worth when withheld till an opportune moment.

Correct. It's cause for quite a bit of concern, for you and most the city.

Bribery. Low, slimy, and snake-like, but still such a delightful strategy to employ. I shall certainly keep that in mind.

You're so dreadfully conversational, aren't you Vergil?

You're calling people 'idiots' but you didn't think that some people just aren't concerned by this point about a virus of all things?

berceusedefou February 8 2010, 02:28:48 UTC
How novel! You haven't been here long at all, have you? If you have, you must be keeping your eyes closed, hm?

Do you have any idea what a virus could do, given it being the right one?

Maybe I haven't been in this place for too long but I was in another place for long enough. Long enough to see several different viruses spread and kill within a matter of hours after the exposure, all of them at the same time and from the same source.

Don't treat me as though i'm ignorant just because I haven't been in this place for too long.

I'm treating you like an idiot because you'd have to be one to act nonchalant over the threat of a virus no matter where you're from. Especially if what you say about your experience is true.

They've proven themselves to be a form of premonition, at times. Don't you think it's suspicious that right after the dreams introducing these new gods to us, they conveniently appear?

But that's the only time they've ever come true. At least, as far as I can remember.

I believe they've come true before, haven't they? Discordia's arrival, among others...
