This is for an inception_kink prompt:

Fandom's aversion to writing OC while understandable produces as a side effect characters who are unrealistically isolated. This is true of all characters (write me ALL the fic!) but I find Arthur is the one often deliberately portrayed as so dependent on the Cobbs he's not allowed any outside interaction until Ariadne

Lovely job! I'm not sure fandom particularly hates OCs, but they have to be well-written (as they are here) and engaging without taking over the story or overpowering the main characters. It's hard to write good ones and many beginning writers spin out Mary Sues or cliches.

You, of course, have given Arthur a real life with some wonderful individuals--Bravo!

Oh, this is love :) I agree with you that these people have separate, healthy lives in their own time and other than Inception. I enjoy reading these contacts of Arthur's and in reading them, I get a fuller sense of Arthur, one that is as human and fallible as all of us. Thanks for sharing this insight of Arthur. This shall be part of my canon!Arthur now :)
