Thank you! Very glad you liked. I'm a bit of a sucker for pre-series fic and how they became closer to each other, because you usually don't start sleeping with your brother until you feel very connected to him, now do you? *g* And something like that has to grow.
You picked my favourite line! Dean can only be vulnerable for Sam, because Sam understands him like no one else does and knows that it's not weakness, but for once opening up and letting others in.
Thank you again for the feedback, it means so much!
I think it does show something. It shows that you actually care enough to look beyond the time frame of the actual show, you know? I mean, certainly there are many many brilliant fics that are set after Dean asking Sam to help find Dad, with good characterization and stuff, but I like once in a while to look beyond that and go deeper into my characters. Because, in my opinion, even something as Dean changing (or trying to) Sam's diapers shows a lot about him.
You win indeed! *gives you Winchester-shaped cookie as price* Vulnerability, aw, yes. *pets Dean*
Man, I love these pre-series fics. Watching them come together over time is such a wonderful thing -sap moment- I loved the scene with little Dean trying to take care of Sammy. There's nothing easy about pleasing babies, ugh. And Dean walking in on Sam and his girlfriend was priceless, wow. This was great :D
As I said above in a comment. I love pre-series fics because it gives you so much more chances to explain the characters and how you see them or why they would do certain things. Like Dean being really really close to Sam and Sam being one of the few people who can reach him and his inside.
I must say that I (I'm in my mid-twenties) certainly wouldn't know how to change a diaper. Heh, poor Sammy. Can you imagine how he must have become all red and stuff? ^_^
Aww, love. I'm flattered that you read a fic of a fandom that you aren't even familiar with just because I whined so much. *g* THANK YOU! ^_^
No, honestly. I'm glad you liked it.
As for Sam and Dean, they're brothers and their father raises them as hunters of supernatural beings. When Sammy was 6 months old a demon killed his mother, pinning her to the ceiling and then setting her on fire. Father and the two boys survived and ever since their father has been searching for the thing that killed his wife. Sam and Dad have a difficult relationship and Sam runs off to college when he's 18 and only when he's 22, Dean comes and asks for his help. Dad has gone missing and they need to find him. Sam agrees to come with him and they host this ghost, but can't find Dad. Once he's back at university, he finds his girlfriend has been killed by the same demon that killed his mom, in the same way. Then he decides that he'll road trip the country with Dean in order to find Dad and all the answers.
Aww, you weren't whining, really, I just love your writing anyway so I was intrigued! :D
Thanks for explaining it, makes more sense now! Hee, I keep seeing the adverts for it on tv but just have never sat down and watched it. Maybe i will sometime since everyone seems to like it! :D
Sam will have to fight against Dean again and he hates it. when i read tt, i tot, *g* who does he wanna fight then? dad? and i did this giggle to myself, that's when i continued & i read abt dean having to fight dad later, which tickled me more.
i have to agree it's great. wait a minute, it always is. :D it kinda depicts how in our everyday lives, we actually repeat the same thing sometimes :)
Hehe. It's really not nice fighting an older brother, I speak from experience. Whenever I fought with my bro, he was older and stronger and taller. But I can imagine that Sam would want to fight Dad even less. *g* After all, Dean will try and not hit him too hard, whereas Dad wants to make him tough and so on. ^_^
I can't remember where this plotbunny came from but I thought it would be nice to build it around this one line.
Thank you so much for the feedback, babe. It means a lot. ♥

You should give the series a try. I find it very entertaining and it certainly got better towards the end of the season. ^_^
