May 15, 2009 09:40

I'm taking a very quick break from hiatus (going back to hiatus in a second) for a few thoughts on 4x22. ( Spoilers for 4x22 )

A brief moment? His eyes went black for a long moment.

'Wouldn't she have an army of demons on her trail for deserting the plan?'

I don't think so. I thought Ruby said that only Azazel, Lilith, and Ruby actually knew about the plan which is why no other demon seemed to give Ruby any kind of respect.

Oh really? I can't remember her saying that but it would make sense.

However, Ruby seemed pretty vicious about the whole thing (with her speech about how she was the best toward the very end). I wouldn't put it above her to seek revenge on Lilith.

Here's a transcript of what Ruby said:You don't even know how hard this was. All the demons out for my head? No one knew. I was the best out of all those sons of bitches. The most loyal! Not even Alistair knew. Only Lilith!

You can see it here from 39:00.

Ruby was playing all along with Lilith. I'm not sure how she would seek revenge on Lilith when the grand plan was to kill Lilith (which is why she wanted out at one time during tMatEotB (or maybe that was also an act to incite Sam even further to kill her). Man, Ruby deceived Sam but good. :/

But see, that's exactly what I meant! The plan was between Azazel, Lilith and Ruby. Azazel is dead. Ruby needs to be killed by a special child for the final seal to be broken. If Lilith bails and chooses to survive and have Sam and Dean die (like she originally suggested), it would have put an end to that plan. At least this is how I see it. I'm not sure whether Ruby would have bothered seek revenge on Lilith but it would have been a possibility.

I'm probably not explaining myself very well.

D'uh. *g*

I wonder whether the angels have anything to do with it. Maybe there was an insurrection in heaven and they dethroned him. Or maybe he never even existed in the first place. Hm.

I'm so glad they re-affirmed their brotherly love at the end. There are no words for how relieved I am. :D

Me too. That was the best moment of the whole season. When Ruby was all "MUAHAHAHAHAHA! Too late! SURPRISE APOCALPYSE!!!" I was like Dean. SO WHAT? We can has brotha tiems nao!

I apparently spend too much time on ICHC.

There's one thing that worried me though... And I admit being curious what others think of it....

Sam made me nervous. He didn't walk away when Dean said something. He looked... mesmerized. Raptured. His "he's coming" was kind of chilly, though at the same time, I guess it could be looked at as terrified or scared? Curious? Be interesting to see which way it goes.

Honestly, I think he was just scared and frozen to the spot. I think to see (during the very few last seconds), that he reaches up to grab at Dean's chest, after they're already clutching at each others' arms. I thought I'd seen some kind of movement of his right arm when he says "he's coming". I don't know why but I'm interpreting it as him just being too terrified to move, so he's clutching even more at Dean, knowing that Dean will pull him away any second or to make clear he wants to be pulled away because he can't move himself yet. His "I'm sorry" seemed incredibly sincere to me so I don't think he's having any second thoughts about wanting this to happen and wanting to wait until Lucifer rose to give him his reward.

Does that make sense?

Yeah, that makes total sense. I missed the arm motion, so I'll have to rewatch it. ;-)
