A few recent books I haven't particularly enjoyed...

2012 is turning out to be a somewhat disappointing year for books.  Either the books are merely "okay", or I actively don't like them and struggle to finish.  A few of the low points:

The Audran Sequence by George Alec Effinger.

Generally, I stop too. Except for Redshirts, they weren't quite at the point I would normally have stopped.

It's a shame that Redshirts fell flat, as the concept sounds like a lot of fun.

Then again, I haven't picked up a Scalzi book since Zoe's Tale...er...I mean The Last Colony remix.

Yeah, anything since The Last Colony hasn't been as good though this was the first one that was actively disappointing. Oh well.
