Oh my, what a lovely meaphor for sherlock to use - so scientific, but really so good at explaining such an abstract concept. And John does so understand.

Thanks! I wasn't sure how well that would fly.

Oh I love the metaphor there. And it's sort of tragically awful that Sherlock doesn't even get the parallel. Ouch. There's going to be some epic angst down the line, I expect.

I really love seeing this though- Sherlock and John through a different lens, but still essentially them. Sherlock wooing John in a much more literal fashion. It is awesome, even when they're not fucking like rabbits. ;)

What she said. Great handling of the metaphor. Really powerful as I was totally blindsided, like Sherlock.

Epic angst? Whatever would make you say that.

Thanks! (And don't worry, the rabbit behavior will resume.)

Ooh, great Mycroft scene! Love how the AU changes things here, with the differences in John's place in Sherlock's life. John's not integrated into Sherlock's cases, or proven himself the way he did in canon with the cabbie, but he's starting to show his worth. Although your porn is getting contaminated with plot (not that I'm really complaining :-)

Thanks! And yeah, plot contaminates everything I write. It's a hazard.

Not integrating John immediately into Sherlock's life has been a fun thing to work with. Instead of Sherlock wanting John in the Work but just as a friend, here's a Sherlock who wants John in bed but not in the Work.

"The title is audibly not abbreviated."

I don't know how you take the Mycroft scene and make it fresh again, and yet you have.

This is so lovely. I loved Sherlock trying to explain himself to John, really making the effort. That was wonderful.

I may be just a bit addicted to writing Mycroft. Just a lot.

Thanks!

The conversation with Mycroft is superb. The interweaving of quote and new dialog is seamless, because the new dialog is excellent. This bit especially:

“Would you like a way out, John?”

“I can see the exit sign fine from here.”

It's funny, because those layers to this AU Sherlock we already know, and yet we rediscover them, together with John, and it's fascinating. I love the way you introduce the canon items - it's subtle, in no way jarring or redundant. Just in the right place.

Thanks! I try to be careful with the repetition. I know that can get annoying if too much is just regurgitated.
