Oh my god. The first part was all lovely and fluffy and then THIS! Fuck.
John is remarkably cool and trusting about it.
He should definitely travel south with Sherlock.
I'm glad it's all out now. I was amazed that Sherlock gave up on Moriarty - although of course we all know it's best not to mess around with Moriarty, so good choice!
John has had several weeks to get his mind around the possibility of Sherlock being a vampire, and while he was operating under the belief that no, Sherlock was human, there was always going to be this nagging little doubt at the back of his head. He's thought of the possibilities and he's wondered what they would mean. Right now, he's rather in shock about the whole thing, but that's going to change.
I was... saying to a friend on chat, earlier today. That Sherlock needs to stop being a prat, because he's frustrating me. (She said "well, what else is new? Must be IC")
I... as soon as I finished reading this, I said I take it back. Nevermind. I didn't mean it.
But, I mean, you've done an excellent job with this. You've made their relationship very charged, and very... evident. Emotive. So that I was hurting for Sherlock as he was trying to take what there was, without breaking what there was, but wishing for extra and... yeah. I'm really interested to see where things go from here, especially since Sherlock's finally spoken up about a lot of what he's doing, even if he hasn't quite told John everything.
Nope, too late. Sherlock is growing up here and is actually taking responsibility for something. He's still going to be a prat about it, but now the strain is going to be that much worse.
God, this part was so intense. I hurt for both of them, but I'm glad John finally knows the truth, as painful as it is. Love the explanations of how things work in Sherlock's part of the world.
