Y'know? Everyone's always going on about how sexist the fandom is and how everyone hated Jo and Bella and how it's all "Hiss! Boo! We're anti-woman women!" and I can't help thinking, "Where the hell are these fans?" 'Cause all the fans I come across are very much, "Where the fuck are the women?!?" and "But I liked [female character]!" I also think it's really bad form of the show - writers, producers, actors, whoever - to lay the blame for the lack of female characters entirely at the fans' feet. They're the ones calling the shots, after all. If a female character is weak, one-dimensional, lust-fodder or only-there-as-a-victim, it's their fault. And if fans don't like a character maybe there's something else to be done other than kill them dead.
