Doctor Who has joined a long list of shows that I have given up on at one point or another. If I am bored out of my whits for three weeks or more, I usually decide to just stop watching. Meanwhile this is easily the best season since 2006. You pick strange times to stop watching shows.

I think the key point to take away is that I'm not really that big of a sci-fi fan. And, that the first three episodes were exceedingly boring.

That's a good rule. If a show is just killing time and not actually giving you any pleasure, why watch it? You could read a book, listen to something else, watch something else...

It's actually good to see someone actively choosing to drop a show rather than torturing themselves and then complaining about it.

Will and Grace: no, you don't need to explain!

My dropped show was Friday Night Lights: three episodes into season two, I was done.
