Saturday we went to see
Elizabeth I and her people, exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery. Very worthwhile, even if you're not a 16th c mavin. Attended with Kat, who was a PS4 widow for the weekend

It's rare to find an author who incorporates a meaningful spiritual experience into the story
Have you read anything by Jo-Graham? She's one of my favourite writers, both for her characters and her deep-rooted sense of history. Her Numinous World series deals with a "god-touched" soul reincarnated life after life. The first four books are stand-alones (Black Ships - after the fall of Troy; Hand of Isis - Cleopatra's reign and fall of Alexandria; Stealing Fire - the aftermath of Alexander the Great's death and founding of Alexandria; Ravens of Falkenau - short stories ranging from Ancient Egypt to the 1910s), but the 18th century stories is a sub-series (about Elza/Ida St. Elme going from a Paris Hilton-like socialite (minus the money) to a Judi Dench-like M in Directoriat and Napoleonic France). Review of the latest, The Emperors AgentShe's also written with Melissa Scott a series about an aviation team who are also members of a small occult lodge.
