Mum seems recuperating at an astonishing rate; minimum of pain meds, doing her recommended exercises, moving around the house largely without the new walker. She'd been unwilling to even walk from kitchen to bathroom without it last week ( Read more... )

Irecovered completely in about 3 days, although I felt really, really sleepy for a couple of weeks. The doc told me I could drive as soon as I could slam my foot down on the brake for an emergency stop. The most difficult thing was getting up from sitting down, you use your abdominal muscles there.

I'm glad your mother is picking up. Soak up the vitamin D while you can--Wimbledon's on, and you know what that means weather-wise.

...and there's NOOOOOOOO coverage of Wimbledon here! Mum has a basic cable package, none of the extended sports/movies/pr0n stuff, and I'm *dyin* to watch, and cannot find it. AAArgh.

The intawebs is slow here otherwise I'd be hunting it up online. Can't sit at this computer and sew though.
