NO, GENTLEMEN, YOU LIE.

Just give me their addresses.

I'd like to visit them.

I'd like to call Karl Rove a douchebag to his face. I'll even give him a list of reasons why I'm doing it.

Oh, and seen in so many places, here's some info about Sarah Palin from a woman who lives in the town she's mayor of.

The town that's ONLY TWICE THE SIZE OF THE TOWN I Read more... )

As a library student I've been following this story closely. As it turns out she didn't actually try to get rid of any particular books. What happened was, as a test of loyalty from the town librarian, she asked her whether she would be willing to remove books if asked, rhetorically. Naturally the librarian said no, and Palin tried to fire her, but this was also bc the librarian had supported her rival in the mayoral election.

Here's a new one floating around:

"Gov. Sarah Palin made her first potentially major gaffe during her time on the national scene while discussing the developments of the perilous housing market this past weekend.

Speaking before voters in Colorado Springs, the Republican vice presidential nominee claimed that lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had "gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers." The companies, as McClatchy reported, "aren't taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization."

Economists and analysts pounced on the misstatement, saying it demonstrated a lack of understanding about one of the key economic issues likely to face the next administration."

There's a ton of non-mainstreem sources putting it out there (Notably, HuffPo), but I'm waiting for one of the bigger ones to be sexist and use this against her.

Seriously? You like the dude, so you think he'd be a good choice to run one of the most powerful nations on earth?

This is how people are choosing their leaders? This is terrifying.
