I believe that your first Spanish phrase means "Tonight is boring. I'm sorry." This much Spanish I understand and have come to call "Restaurant Spanish" which means that I can say things like, "give me one plate please," "mother 'f'ing son of a b*tch," and "for my table." None of this would get me anywhere in Mexico or in Spain, but is quite useful at my place of employment. I recently discovered a new Mexican phrase....
"Hola buenos dias. Como estas?"
"Eh, dos tres"

I don't get it. How are you? Eh, two three. And yet the Mexicans tell me that this is ok. I obviously have a long way to go...

Hmmm...sounds like how I was told to never say "Asi-Asi" as "okay, I guess." They said it has another connotation. Instead, they told me, use "Mas o menos." Hmmm...

Is the same as "so, so" and close to "más o menos".

Yo te ayudo con tu español, ya lo sabes.

Maldita memoria. "OK, I guess" would be "Vale, supongo", "De acuerdo, supongo".

The music and book and movie... benchilada April 29 2004, 22:10:02 UTC
First, let me say that I'll have more real writing soon. I'm working on some stuff right now that I'm eager to post. But for now, I wanna comment on that song. I really enjoy that song. It was at the end of a Korean movie called SHIRI. When the film came out, it broke all the box office records at the time, which had been held by TITANIC. And the song sounds cheesy at first, but it's such a sweet and painfully sad song. It touches me every time. I highly encourage people to find the song, or better yet, watch the movie, which may seem like an "action movie," but is soooo much more.

AZUMI is okay so far, I haven't fnished it.
THE MAN WHO WAS THURSDAY is amazing. 1920's intrigue and conspiracy. Wheee...
