I'm really sorry to hear you've been depressed lately. I know this probably seems like a really lame suggestion considering your various (and very serious) medical problems but have you considered going to a naturopath? I have been doing some reading lately on vitamins and things that help with depression- things that actually increase the efficacy of antidepressants. These include B vitamins, folic acid, selenium, exercise and light.
Also, your teeth grinding may be a fuckbrain symptom, but it might be relieved by taking magnesium. I have to take this regularly or I start grinding my teeth in my sleep and clenching my jaw when I'm stressed. It's best to take it as a powder- I mix it in orange juice every morning.
Also, I know exactly what you mean about not really wanting to change yourself. I think that depression has made me stronger, more sympathetic and sensitive to others, and better able to appreciate happiness when and where I find it.
tiny_monster May be on to something here...I'm pretty certain that the anti-depressants I took that I felt caused my jaw clenching also depleted the body of magnesium. Definately the first place to look my friend.
Dude you might wanna get your meds checked. When I was on anti-depressants they totally made me clench my jaw and teeth. I talked to my doctor (who I'll refrain from calling a motard...oh wait I just did) about it and she said I was just reading the internet too much and I should never read the package inserts because I'll make up symptoms to go with the insert. But I'm telling you it was the anti-depressant. I talked to my dentist about it and he said Yeah that could totally do that.
