The first few insertions were cathartic, almost religious experiences, but the 20th or 50th time you feel your inner soul merging with the unconscious minds of all mankind it just hurts. "Oeskar Stonebook, Dwarf at Law"
Oeskar grunted, hurriedly shaking the sooty rain from the twists of his long beard-braids. The mouth of the cave was wide and clear of debris, with a slight angle to it that likened it to the edge of a cliff. Deep gouge marks in the dirty stone led down into the blackness, wherefrom the occasional cinder came wafting upwards. He grimaced, tightening his grip on the Oathhammer; a string of the teeth of a hundred perjurers clicked comfortingly.
The lich-clerk could be seen further down the mountain, slowly picking its way past boulders, a swirl of papers and ink levitating behind it. Undead legal assistants were almost never late, but they never made an effort to help you be early, either.
