I just think its ridiculous it seems like now they shouldnt care and just be like "if you dont do your homework thats your problem"...so it doesnt make sense

Whatever idiot down on the entry before this one, laughed at the label "southern metal" and claimed it to be a "contradiction", guess what bro, you can take that and shove it up your butt. There are plenty of great southern metal bands. Norma Jean, Becoming The Archetype, Mortal Treason (with a hint of Swedish Death Medal), Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster, The Showdown... the list goes on and on. So there.

those bands are hardcore bands and a few death meatal bands as well...I wouldn't clasify them as southern even if they may be from the south

Metal made in the South does not classify it as Southern Metal.
