A new season and I've nothing to watch (with the likely possible exception of Ansatsu Kyoushitsu). Why do they always pick the dullest possible Otoge and make an anime?! WRYYY?! (I mean, lol, whose grand idea was it to adapt fucking Norn9? Even the reading the reviews puts me into a coma *shakes head*). And why do they always take the most boring manga to animate? Where's my Inuboku season 2?! I mean, I love Shirayuki but the story just isn't suited for an anime. At least they should announce Akatsuki no Yona S 2. Or Kamisama Hajimemashita S 3. But do they? FUCK NO! *shakes fist*
At least KH is getting an OVA... half the stuff I want continuations for will never get anything of the sort...
I'm seriously not looking forward to the season, either. Excluding the sequels (because duh, sequels) I don't see anything appealing. Winter's always kinda shit, but this time around it feels especially bleh. I've got some hangovers from fall and before (Gundam Orphans, Gintama, Osomatsu-san, Haikyuu, Kindaichi), but even Conan is spinning its wheels with the always terrible TV originals right now (entering the FOURTH month of such), so I might as well stick a thumb up my ass and wait for spring.
Then again, plenty of time to dig into my Netflix queue in this case.
Gundam Orphans could be really good if I only managed to get over the fugly designs. I tried, really, but so far with... little success -_-;;
For now I found that Active Raid (yes, really) is weirdly amusing. Decent chara designs, action that doesn't require too much involvement of higher brain functions (aka I can multitask while watching) and a certain kind of comfy old-school 90's-feelings (yeah, I'm old). It reminds me of TaiBani (maybe a little too much?) but with all the bleh-ness that is this season I can't be picky.
Yeah, and of course I'll watch Norn9 after all. The main heroine already grates on my nerves and I wish they had let her drown already because the two others (the tsundere and the Rei-clone) are vastly more interesting but whatever. At least the bishies are easy on the eyes *sigh*.
Dude, after AGE, no Gundam designs can be fugly to me ever again.
I watched a couple of things, and so far I'm so, so bored. AssClass was a shoe-in, so I watched it first (and it was excellent), but after that everything was so blah and pedestrian it mostly blended into each other. The only thing that distinguished itself was Musaigen no Phantom World, by being total garbage story-wise yet still compulsively watchable. I put this down to KyoAni having learned how to make shows that are shitty, yet still basically crack cocaine. So right now it's basically that, Norn9 and Prince of Stride for #2, and otherwise... well, I still have a bunch of stuff downloaded, hopefully something other than a sequel will actually be good.
