Sadness

My friend Josh's wife is dying. Right now. She is 27 and was just diagnosed with cancer about a month ago. Chemo didn't help. They tried to go home from the hospice hospital only to have to return not even a day later due to her condition. Their little boy is one year old. That is really really horrible. It's the sort of thing where even words like "tragic" seem too small. I am sorry for your friend and his family.

"Tragic" really doesn't encompass it, does it? Like I said, makes you grateful for who and what you have. It's all about perspective.

No shit. It really has. Work has beat my ass to a fine paste, but once Saturday comes, i am thinking October will be a lot better for me. I have finally hit a stride with teaching the class and don't feel so ARGH MUST OVERPLAN EVERYTHING about it, and the next show is like, two dudes wearing the same modern clothes the whole time, so nothing big for me in that. We should plan something like dinner and shit-shootage or similar, featuring my new favorite beverage ever, the muscadine mojito.

Oh Josh, I had no idea you would even be reading. I rarely know what to say that seems any kind of appropriate but I think of you guys every day. It sucks, it's not fair, and it is incomprehensible what each of you is facing. Just know that we care and wish the best for all of you.
