Money is not speech. Eich was not stating his belief; he was using dollars most of us do not have to suppress a basic human right, the right to marry the person you love. The "war" for freedom to marry was not "over in 2013". Right now we still have a patchwork of state laws and court decisions that make same-sex marriages legal in some places and not in others.

(are you quoting the italic text from somewhere else, and if so, where?)

I suppose he means the California Prop 8 contest that Eich donated to. Fresh air and clarity sometimes requires over-simplification (but is worth it, imo!)

I mistakenly thought several posts about free speech and racism *written by other people* had been written by you. While I disagree with some of your opinions, sections of my comments were unfair and confusing because they were directed at opinions written by entirely different people. I apologize for the unfair misdirected vehemence.
