Koalas and roundabouts.

I went with Shaun to the hospital at Redcliffe today, and, on the way home, when we came to the roundabout where you turn to go on to the highway, a koala ran out in front of us. In the middle of the day! He was only little, so he must have been young. He just bounded across the road to the roundabout where there are a few trees, looking terrified

was that at the Rothwell roundabout? we have koalas in the trees at the land behind us but i rarely see them. Mostly we see the roos that live there too. There's a mob of about 10 or so that live there... maybe more cause i think there were a couple of mum roos with joeys in their pouches.

Um, if the Rothwell roundabout is the one you take to go to North Lakes, then yes, it was. :D

I love seeing roos and koalas in the wild. Not so much when they're running out on the road though. That just saddens me.

We have a couple of emus, some roos, and we used to have dingoes before the government poisoned them all, but Bribie is koala-free, so living so close to them would be such a novelty to me. You're lucky.
