Im wondering something, so lets for a moment assume that profile page and ablity to list social connections (ie friends, co-workers, aqquantaces, etc) are included and of equal quality. what then should a social network provide to its users ( Read more... )

The "short answer" area, perhaps spilling over into the "freeform" area, should include both a "who I am" and a "who I want to be." The now is relevant, but so are dreams.

In my view, a social networking site should be minimalistic, yet highly functional. None of these useless glittery things like MySpace, and forget most of those stupid apps that Facebook pumps out on nearly an hourly basis ( ... )
