Most of the time, living in the country is fun - like this morning, when I had to stop and let a flock of wild turkeys cross the road - but sometimes it's just weird.

My grandma was in charge of pie-bringing on Thanksgiving, and for whatever reason, she chose to make pecan instead of pumpkin.  My family was a little disappointed to have Thanksgiving

That is just about the cutest story ever. I have a weird affection for possums. Maybe because they're so silly stupid? That and the whole playing dead thing. In any case, I'm glad humans won out this round and you got your pie. :)

They are kind of goofy little animals. I can't blame it for wanting pie, but it can't have mine. :D

Pecan pie is delicious, especially made by my grandma, but it's just not Thanksgiving without pumpkin. Even if I have to fight wildlife for it. :D
