Character(s): Bea, Sam Pairing(s): Sam/Bea Location: The Roof Rating: PG Warning(s): Some language Summary: After their first fight, Bea seeks to make amends with her boyfriend.
Sam...hadn't had the luck to end up opening up to anyone. Instead, he'd spent most of his time fuming sicne being dragged back inside by the guards.
Also, due to the fact that he was...a) too untrained to know exactly how to excercise his stress away and b) Didn't feel close enough to anyone on the base to talk to them. No, instead he'd faced probably the one person that could've made his mood worse...and run up here to fume.
Unfortunately...he'd only just recently arrived to the roof...and as a result of the way he'd spent his time seperate from Bea, he was no closer to understanding what the hell had actually happened.
Thus, when Bea's voice cut through the comparative silence of the roof, Sam jumped just a little.
When Sam jumped, Bea mirrored the action slightly, shoving her hands in her pockets so that she would have something to do with them. She stopped a few feet away from him, forcefully tapping down the nervous swell of adrenaline that had her wanting to run again, despite the soreness in her legs.
"....How long have you been up here..?" she asked, glancing around the roof and realizing that this was one of maybe two or three times she'd ever even been up here.
She nodded slightly to show she'd heard and shifted restlessly on her feet. That's how it was for several minutes, an awkward silence filled with the sound of sneakers shifting on the roof and tentative, half-glances.
"....I-I'm sorry!"
Bea startled herself a bit with her own outburst, wincing at how her voice echoed up there. A faint blush suffused her cheeks for the shout and she cleared her throat slightly.
"I'm sorry," she said more quietly, actually looking up at him this time.

Why did the roof suddenly seem so much higher...?
