Though I think some parts of it are a bit too long, I do agree that Good Omens is hilarious. I love the relationship between the devil and the angel.

My favorite childhood series is Famous Five and Malory Towers by Enid Blyton. Malory Towers made me want to go to a boarding school in England, and this was way back before Harry Potter. I didn't get to read Anne of Green Gables and A Little Princess until I was older though -- just this last year, actually.

yep, the devil and the angel...I love the scene where they realise exactly how they have stuffed things up, and get drunk together! Love it!

Oh yes Famous Five......I loved Famous Five. I think the fifth book was the one where they got to hire horse drawn caravans and go off for a holiday......I so wanted to do that! *laugh* And yep Mallory Towers and the Naughtiest Girl in the school...so made me think boarding school would be wonderful - buy my mother assures me it wasn't like that ;) Yep Harry Potter is another installment in the great english boarding school series....

It's weird how some series you miss until later - I read the Dark is Rising series when I was at uni, and loved it....
