Happy Tolkien Reading Day!

Today is Tolkien Reading Day. In honor, I've read a passage from The Hobbit, from the chapter "Barrels out of Bond." I chose this section because I visited a location (Aratiatia Falls) where part of this scene for the movie has been filmed. :-D

I know they've been doing location shots with barrels on rivers, so we will see it!!

I love Bilbo's thoughts here and his line about 'not counting friends that are packed up in barrels'. LOL How often does that happen?
You have a great voice for reading and I enjoyed listening to this part of the tale.
