So! I am a wretch who defaulted, and I am a little self-conscious about how much I've been enjoying the story I got. Here it is for you to enjoy, too.

Basically it is every single thing I had hoped for when I asked for a Kingdom of Loathing story, plus a few things I hadn't even thought to hope for. The writer just nailed the tone; its casual

Oh, my. That Twin Peaks story. I'm a sucker for inexorability in narrative, and something about Cooper's flat delivery makes the story feel even more uncanny. And the relationship! It's so ill-fitting and jutty and sexless, which weirdly makes it hot like burning.

And oh, oh! Heeeeeeeeeelium! She broke my heart! How did she even do that. She is a balloon and she is not even a real balloon. And yet I totally wanted to hug her :(
