True Blood Recaps

I've been watching and enjoying True Blood on HBO. The shows are based on a series of books that I adore. I've come across these funny recaps on one of the several fan communities here on LJ. I just wanted to share:

omg, they made a show out of that series?! i borrowed a couple of those books from neeta, but i just couldn't get into them.

They did! Alan Ball, creator of Six Feet Under, is doing it. He's taken quite a few liberties with some of the characters, but the first season should follow the first book. The show has been picked up for a second season already as well. After the 1st season, Alan has the creative license to do with the characters whatever he likes, so it may not even follow the rest of the books.

I ordered HBO just so I could watch True Blood. (shifty eyes)
