Hmmm. I get your basic point, but yes, there is a HUGE difference between Mrs. Schmoe and Ann Coulter. I'm curious as to what exactly you are blaming our hypothetical Mrs. Schmoe for that Pandagon/Feministe/et al aren't. Child abuse? Ignoring rape jokes?

And the difference between the woman doing what it takes to get ahead and the corporatists is that the former has little power and the latter has a lot. This is not to excuse the average Jane at all, but generally it's more productive to kick up rather than down.

True. I take her point, though, to be that the average person who is compliant with the system ought to do something that rejects, or, at a minimum, questions that compliance.
