Remember the discovery of vast cooperative ant civilizations in Europe a few years ago? Something similar going on with spiders, perhaps? (via Ami Angelwings)

scans_daily has a tag "boobs don't work that way". It also has an "anatomy doesn't work that way" tag, and there is, not entirely coincidentally, a "Rob Liefeld" tag as well.

There is overlap.

That superhero is disturbingly hot. Amusing, too. But majorly, hot.
(Is it wrong that I immediately have fantasies using and being used by that lasso?)

Wow. Yes, that is pretty hot. And neatly encapsulates everything that bothered me at the edges of my consciousness about the Wonder Woman costume, to boot.

Love the boots! And the necklace, hair, and stance...

PS I think I need a "leering" icon, a la Deiseach, but less explicit.

I've got to give Apple credit for sticking to their preferred price - at 5 bones a pop the iTunes episodes are a worse value than a DVD set. I'm guessing NBC's trying to cover for dropping ad revenue.

Of course, it'll all be academic once the Spider Collective rises to replace us, storing only the most valuable artifacts of our culture on their digital web.

Now we know what happened... deiseach September 2 2007, 18:59:46 UTC
... to the giant spiders of Mirkwood.

Some of them, at least, emigrated to Texas. Well, either that, or now we know the true location of Nan Dungortheb :-)

"NBC has the confidence," said Forrester's McQuivey, "that people that want these shows can get them [without iTunes]."

Yes, indeed. Unfortunately for NBC, the answer to that is likely to be spelled "BitTorrent" instead of "Hulu".
