Awesome tutorial. Thank you! I sprung for Poser after about 3 months. Best thing I ever did... Daz Studio frustrated me and by the time I finished purchasing plugins it cost me a bundle... and I just could never get the installers to work right. Anyways I just need a copy of CS3 extended. $$$ but I hear the 3D layer is cool.

I have some other "Rough Guide" graphics articles in the works so check back for the Photoshop tag in the future - not sure when I'll get them done but I've got one on the details of using layers/modes to save time partly complete (like most things, argh.)

Well, D|S left me Hulk-smash for a long time too, but at least I've been able to figure it out and get it working pretty well now...I admit that probably part of my problem is that the version of Poser they were giving away for free, Version 5, is according to all reviews I read the buggiest and most spectacularly user-unfriendly that was ever released. It was like my experiences with Corel Photopaint LE, which didn't have layers and had a manual written by gibbons, before I sprung for Photoshop 3 (this was Back In Ye Daye, you can see!)

I hear the 3D layer is cool.It does sound intriguing, and I believe Content Paradise has some free versions of models for it too - you might see if you have a Kinkos or other such outfit nearby that has CS3 on their rental computers, to try and ( ... )
