Oh, the idea that Cas would take Dean's memories of his loved one is heartbreaking. But it makes sense. As it makes sense that Dean would re-learn those memories so fast. I love this coda very much!

I got the feeling as I wrote that the face blindness was probably permanent, but no, Dean would not let that keep him from knowing Sam for long.

I imagine the actual scene of Cas taking the memories was angsty in the extreme. ;D

Oh, lovely. The horrors of Purgatory are going to be varied and horrible and awesome and you've taken a brilliant look at how Dean might come back from them here. I love the bit about Cas taking the memories of Dean's loved ones so they can't be used to hurt him.

Sam is Dean's greatest weakness. In a world where monsters can get into your head and change shape and make you hallucinate and are all there is around you, that's a really dangerous weakness to have.

I'm glad you liked it.

Really good. I hope the show comes up with something this engrossing.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do, though I'm a little worried they'll cop out on it. If they do skim over Purgatory itself, I hope they give us something nice and meaty for the aftermath.

The one sad thing is that the show will probably never reach this level of perfection, because that's what this is, perfect.
There's so much to say about this coda and yet I can't find the words. It's been a long while since I last read a Supernatural fic, and I'm glad I decided to read this.
Fantastic work!

Awww, thanks! And I'm sure the show will come up with something (full disclosure: I am not actually sure of this).

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
