I hate leaving those "I have no words" kind of comments, but seriously, this is completely blowing my mind with sheer awesomeness and I can't really put enough of my brain back together to leave the kind of comment it actually deserves.
He expected the glorious fire of Heaven itself to overtake him, but the burning had a different flavor, one of wood smoke and granite, dirt and animal sweat. It was the fire of Earth, of humanity itself, standing up to rebel against the creatures who thought to dominate it. Oooh, I love that description!
And, man, things are about to get ... really interesting.
This just gets more fantastic by the chapter!! Two Sammies! And Azazel POV! And John not dead! And Dean slugging him! And, yeah, why did Azazel tell John Dean wasn't a threat when twenty years earlier he'd told him he'd be the one to kill him? Stupid Azazel. Deserved everything he got.
Loved the twisted nature of this - lines from all different seasons all twisted up with the twisted timeline. Once again, inspire.
Thanks! This whole scene (well, the whole ending of the fic) was really fascinating to write -- it was really an opportunity to explore some different ideas via POV.
