Ooh, some nice reveals in here about Dan and Mary’s secret history and his vision about Carrie. And yikes on that phone call Sam got at the end. It doesn’t seem to bode well for Dan and Carrie. I’ll be very interested to see how things turn out in the next part.

Favorite lines:

Nothing wrong w/ me. Sam's an idiot

She laughed. "Or maybe he's just an optimist."

Same thing

I love this exchange. *g*

"He's our only hope." She shook her head. "Don't tell anyone else that. Don't take this from us.

Poor Layla. It would definitely hurt to have all that hope taken away in an instant.

Layla was a bit of a challenge for me, writing wise, as I don't think I've ever had the kind of faith that she shows throughout the episode. I really hope I managed to get her across.

Thanks for the feedback!

She really did have an unwavering faith in that ep. It's one of the things I really liked about her. And I like that you allowed her a very solid faith in this story, too.

Thanks. I honestly thought it'd shake more than it did, when she was faced with the truth about what was happening at Le Grange's. She surprised me.

A great AU. I love that that the characters are still themselves even with changed circumstances.

It's interesting to me that with all that's happened Lyla still has her faith while Dan has lost his. I assume Sam and Dean never had any to lose considering what they've lived through.

I honestly don't know about Sam. But if Dean has faith, it's in some very strange ideas, rather than in anything that might be considered by a mainstream religion.

Carrie? Or Dan? I love the twists in what is one of my favorite episodes. Layla's healing is well handled and her faith may be shaken, but not broken.

The unknown western town - the dreamer and the controller and the yellow-eyed man. The mythology is just inescapable, isn't it?

Absolutely inescapable. I'm glad you enjoyed this. As for the questions . . . well, I'm pretty sure what's going to come next for this 'verse. So just keep your eyes out.

I really liked the way you fit the events of "Faith" into this 'verse, and Dan and Mary's history was a very interesting development.

This was another excellent addition to the series, and I'm really looking forward to reading more. :)

Thank you. I admit, I had some trouble with this part, especially making sure that the backstory I wanted to get it would flow with the situation with Roy Le Grange. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
