Icon help!

Ok here's one for a braindead Friday afternoon -

Can anyone tell me how to use an animated icon? I'm on a Mac *Marvin waves and smiles* and I would love to use them but when I try to save and upload like I do with other icons I get nothing... Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Cos I know it is something ridiculusly simple...

Could be the format of what you're trying to dl, sometimes macs are temperamental about that.

You're talking about on LJ, right? Well I would just copy the image location of the icon and upload it that way. It gives you the URL option, well at least it should..

Okay well on a mac, when you save, does it give you any option to 'View Image', or 'Copy Image Location'

Yup. Tried all those options. Spent a while with photobucket too, just trying different .gifs and trying to upload to my userpics and I just keep getting error messages... I'm probably doing something silly.... I may leave it until I get back to wrok later in teh week and use the PC there to see is it a Mac thing or just me!
