1. I hope everyone is having a super fun Halloween.
2. Long Way Down - Episode 1
The episode wasn't the best quality so I just did a wee mini picspam, but whatever, EWAN AND CHARLEY! EEEWAN AND CHAARLEY!!! GLEE, GLEE, GLEE! I AM SO PLEASED! And they used the same theme song! And, and, and... okay I don't have specific comments. JUST A SMILE SO BIG IT'S STARTING TO HURT IN THE CORNERS.

3. Smallville 7x04 - Action The Chloe Sullivan Show:
CHLOE, WITH THE HAIR, AND THE HAIR, AND THE SMILING, AND HAIR, AND I SWEAR YOU JUST GET PRETTIER EVERY SEASON. I'm personally finding this season unwatchable, but still I can't bring myself to give up on this girl right here.
4. Look, jascott, look! I ended up doing it after all! You were right about all the FACES. Too good to skip.
Supernatural 3x04 - Sin City
Okay, negatives out of the way first, AND THEN PICSPAM!
Aww, a lazy afternoon disassembling guns and searching the internet for freaky deaths. Only on SPN would that seem so heart-warming.
Also, SAAAAAAAAM. SAM, SAM, SAM, SAM.
But this right here goes down as one of my all time favourite Sam and Dean moments:
So adorable, boys. So adorable I CAN BARELY EVEN STAND IT. The way Dean notices what's going on, and glances at Sammy before egging Bobby on! And Sam's smile! SAM SMILING, FOLKS. And then BOTH OF THEM. Oh man, so up to no good. Of course they band together to take out the non Winchester whenever there is a non Winchester in the gang.
And, I mean, Bobby has a guest room for the boys, right? That's not even so much a rhetorical question as a statement of fact. And you know the boys are slowly starting to leave things there, and that Bobby grumbles about it to himself, but that secretly he sleeps best at night when he can hear those two bickering in the other room. Except for those nights when he can't sleep at all from worry over Dean's deal, and how on earth he's going to console Sam when Dean is gone. The fact that Bobby already knows what that's like blows my mind with angst.
Oh, Deano.
WINCHESTERS IN SUITS IN VARIOUS STAGES OF UNDRESS:
ASGHSJJKAS. Too bad they spent so much time rolling up those sleeves when they could have just removed the shirts altogether. I'm SERIOUS guys, we better fucking get a bit of shirtless Jensen this season. I appreciate that they aren't as full on gratuitous about that kind of thing as other shows, BUT COME ON. And that undershirt in the premiere DOES NOT COUNT. Also, I love to death that Sammy lays out the clothes he's about to actually put on. Nice little continuity, there.
RE-UNITED AT LAST. You just KNOW he was going through a whole bag of quarters that night while Sammy was in the other bed JUST TRYING TO GET SOME SLEEP.
I swear it looks like Jared actually picks him up there. I know the odds of that are slim, but I appreciate it at least looking that way. *g*
Sam: You drink hurricanes?
Dean: I do now.
That bottom left cap is my favourite of all of Dean's befuddled faces. And buddy's made a hell of a lot of admirable befuddled faces in the past.
OH YES, THE PART WITH THE HAND PORN, AND SAM BEING HOT BUT NOT SO STEALTHY.
Some of these caps are pretty funny when you know what's actually going on. Whatever, I just can't get enough of that glazed over look Dean gets when confronted with a hot girl. I feel like it should be creepy but instead it just makes me laugh.
You gotta love Jensen's decision to stare blatantly at her chest there. That coupled with the way he just stands there unmoving when she kisses him is pretty freakin' hot in a "Dean quietly assesses the sexy situation" sort of way.
When puppy dog faces don't work.
Fact: Dean's lips increase in size exponentially while being used to recite Latin.
Does it make me a bad person that I want to read the fic where this happens? TOO LATE.
Aww, Sammy. Ouch.
OH, HAI THERE CHEMISTRY. Chemistry with female co-stars is the one area where I think Jared kicks Jensen's ass all across town and back again, acting-wise.
I did want to take a comb to Sam's hair there, but I'll take stringy any day as long as it's falling all over his forehead and flipping out at the sides like that. RAWR. THE END.

Supernatural 3x04 - Sin City
Okay, negatives out of the way first, AND THEN PICSPAM!
- Overall I thought this one was a cool concept that was poorly executed.
- I don't buy Dean bonding with demon chick no matter how much time they spent together. She killed his buddy and fellow hunter in cold blood, and she lured Dean back to her place to do the same to him. They've achieved that good/evil grey area for me in the past, not so much here.
- Kripke said he got tired of the psychic kids last year, and that they didn't end up being as cool or interesting as he'd originally imagined. I already feel that way about the demons. NOT INTERESTED. AT ALL.
- Kripke also said that last year he felt the mytharc got too complex. I'm already fearing a repeat of that mistake. We'll see.
- The main mytharc of the show being tied up so pointedly in Christian mythology is not my cup of tea at all. Jinns, and shapeshifter, and woman in white, and Raksasha, and tricksters = A+++. Lucifer and Sam as the anti-Christ = FAIL.
- Despite being about demon hunters this show used to have this quiet realism about it such that I could genuinely buy that Sam and Dean were out there somewhere tracking down the things that hide under beds at night. I'm not sure why, but I feel them loosing that.
- The world of SPN is starting to feel very small (I'm referring to hunters running in to each other all over the place, and every demon ever being fully versed in the story of Sam and Dean, and Bobby always having a quick answer for any problem here, among other things). The SPN universe should feel vast and uncharted and laid out before the Winchesters like a red carpet.
- I don't hate the girls, and I adore Bobby, but I'm ITCHING for some old school just Sam and Dean episodes. They're losing that road trip vibe, and that sense of isolation from the regular world. Which, along with the brother dynamic and sense of humour were my favourite things about the show.
