Shish kabob!

  1. Hey, peeps, what's the word on which seasons of Buffy are the best? I know season that 5 is good, and that season 6 is not so good, but what about seasons 3, 4, 5 & 7? WHAT'S THE CONCENSUS? (dislaimer: I don't want to know what happens in each season, or why they are or are not good, just, like, a numerical ranking).

I realized too late that I need a visual tally of the results in order to keep my sanity: )

My favourite Buffy seasons were 2 and 3. I also liked season 4 but I am pretty much alone in this, I think.

I'm not going to watch the Oscars this year. It's just not worth staying up for so late, at least not this year. Instead I'd rather watch Recovery (the new Tennant thing) but then I'll be a wreck tomorrow morning. Damn.

For some reason I thought everyone liked the later seasons best, but so far that hasn't been the response. INTERESTING.

Yeah, I don't think I should watch, but I probably will in the end. I just can't resist the dresses! But I'm sure I'll be bitter about it. And that I'll be flipping between channels like a crazy person.

Oh, is Recover out now! I got so behind on Tennant news after I took myself out of the main Tennant comm. I just couldn't handle the crazy! But I miss seeing every itty bit clip of everything he's ever in.

personally seasons 2 and 3 of Buffy are my favorite. it really never saw that greatness again.

5 was okay. 6 is depressing and 7 had too much preaching Buffy.

Like I was saying above, I was expecting people to favour the later seasons, though I have no idea why. Though in the end I could still end up loving the seasons that everyone else hated, of course. *g*

I'm pretty sure that whole map issue freaks me out as much as it freaks C.J. out.

Dude, I'm so envious that you're still making your way through TWW for the first time! And you still have my favourite episode ahead of you! *SIGH* At least it never loses it's re-watchability.

It's the S4 premiere, called 20 Hours in America. It one of those episodes that manages to embody every single great element of that show. But there are a lot of great episodes in season 4 to look forward to, even though the show sort of steadily declines (and then plumets) after S2.

I wonder if on average seasons are more enjoyable when not watched in real time. Like, it's more taxing otherwise, and you have to deal with fandom wank, and it's more difficult to ignore slumps? Then again there's something rewarding about sticking with something for a solid amount of time. PROS AND CONS, I GUESS. I just know I'm crazy glad I didn't have to watch S4 of Angel in real time.

That picture of John and Dean makes me cry so much. Cheer up, emo hunters!

There will never be a prettier picture of those two. John with his scruffy beard and lines on his face, and Dean so young and clean.

Oh man, you know what would be awesome? I fanmix of classic rock emo songs dedicated to our emo hunter boys. OH, BOYS.

And TWW! I need to do a rewatch of that.

It still makes me giggle and weep as if I'd never seen it before!
