Jason Teague part 2

Joss Whedon directing an episode of The Office MAKES ME HAPPY. It's not that I think he's going to step in and magically add something to the show that isn't already there just by directing a single episode (though I'll happily eat my words if he does), I'm just happy whenever he goes anywhere near anything to do with television. COME BACK TO US, ( Read more... )

Re: Torchwood, that's a tough call. I think the last three episodes kicked butt (and there *were* DW references; some more subtle than others), so maybe just watch those. If you are interested to see what happened in between the first three and the last three, then you could go back and watch the middle few.

Awww! Bad Wolf! I don't think that will ever get old for me. Jack doesn't know what it means, though, does he? I mean, he must not understand any of what happened at the end of Parting of Ways. Poor Jack.

Maybe I'll just look through your screencaps! That might be a reasonable compromise. But I like your suggestion. Watching the last few episodes makes sense.

No, he doesn't know what Bad Wolf is OR the end of everything, including how or really WHO brought him back. So, it is critical you watch the last 3 minutes of the Torchwood finale. It will make you happy. Well, it made me happy. =)

Re: Torchwood. I thought the only episodes worth watching were 1x04 (Cyberwoman) and 1x012/13 (Captain Jack Harkness/End of Days). Other than that, the series ranged from average to downright stupid.

Hahaha! That's hilarious. I think I'll just watch the last few, then. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE.

DUDE. HE GETS HIT BY A METEOR???

...that's almost too awesome for words. Maybe I should watch the Jensen episodes. :p

STEPH!

But other than that I am on Jensen hiatus!

SAY IT ISN'T SO! Well, okay, I get where you're coming from, but still. I'm not going to lie to you, I'll miss the Jensen!spam. Also! I am seriously jonesing for some new SPN. I don't think I could possibly watch an episode of S1 again for a really, really long time. :p Not that I've practically worn out my DVDs or anything.

I think I'll spend the rest of the day staring at Jensen, so thanks for that. ;)

HE DOES! AFTER GETTING SHOT AND FALLING OFF A CLIFF! IT'S SO GREAT!

I love Smallville. You just don't get more ridiculous. But it's a ridiculous that's also kind of sort of good? I don't know, Heather.

HEATHER!!!

I'm just feeling very much like a broken record right now. I know there are a significant number of people who enjoy it, but I get so embarrassed when I get like this. I can't even seem to bring myself to talk about current shows right now. All I ever do any more is point at Jensen and say "look how pretty". Which, don't get me wrong, I really like doing that, I'm just really embarrassed at the current lack of non pretty boy content in my LJ. You know what I mean? I swear there's more to me than just this shallowness. The shallowness is most of me, but there is more!

Also! I am seriously jonesing for some new SPN.ME TOO! MY GOD, SO MUCH. I'M DYING. So much so that I doubt the new episode will be able to live up to my desire for it. STUPID HIATUS. And how much do you love that Johnny Cash promo! And! And! I'm all excited ( ... )

No, seriously. A meteor? Hee. I think I have to watch now. I'm not sure there's a way around it.

Hee. I know what you mean. Sometimes I feel like all I ever post about is television and pretty boys and stuff. That's usually when I stop posting for awhile, but then I can't think of anything else to write, so I just go back to posting about TV. It's a whole thing. :p I'm coming to terms with the shallowness. Also, I don't think your so-called shallow posts can be considered bad when they bring so many people so much joy. ;)

I'm all excited for the creepy monster of the week in the next episode after this one. Yeah, more ( ... )

I'm really excited about Joss directing an episode of The Office, too, because I weirdly kind of miss him a lot! It also seems like a crazy combination, but I can't wait to see how his episode turns out. His sense of humor is awesome.

Why is it weird to miss Joss? That makes perfect sense to me. I'd give anything to have him come back to television. I've never experienced a Joss show in real time. I know he's off making comic books right now, but I'm not at all excited about those.

Totally! But then, the show has such a specific style, I wonder how much of a personal mark he'll be able to make on the episode. But regardless of the output it's just so much fun knowing he's going to be on that set directing everybody. Hopefully the actors will write nice big blog entries about it so that we can live vicariously through them. *g*

Torchwood doesn't become amazing but it really does improve. I recommend 1x06, and then 1x11, 12 and 13 if you don't think you could watch the whole thing.

Thanks for the input. I don't feel too bad about missing it if it never became amazing. Even if there were occasional good moments.
