Yahoo isn't allowing me to read the content of e-mailed comments from LJ.
I'm having the same problem with Gmail, so maybe the problem is LJ. I'm either not getting the comments e-mailed to me at all, or like you said, the content isn't showing up at all. STUPID LJ.
Oh Supernatural. I keep meaning to catch up. I'm so far behind on that show. I think once this semester is over I'm just gonna veg out and marathon all of season two.
INTERESTING. It could be LJ. But I'm also not able to read automated comments from other websites. I should re-route my comments to my gmail account for a little scientific experimentation. Except that takes effort and I'm lazy.
I've never had a problem with not getting comments at all, at least not that I've noticed, but this no content thing is driving me crazy. It's such a tease!
Anything looks hot on Dean, Steph, anything. I thought he was hot when he was shapeshifting in Skin. And I thought he was hot when he was half-dead in My Time of Dying! The hotness astounds & abounds, and there's no two ways about it. He is just.. perfect.
Oh, and also: I HOPE YOUR APPLE PIE WAS FREAKING WORTH IT! (That may be one of my fave lines of the entire series thus far.)
Clearly you didn't survive, Steph! It's like you found God.. except, you found DEAN. He's so pretty and sarcastic and shallow and so easy to love. OMG I can't wait until you get to Something Wicked for the pained!child Dean. And then when you get to Devil's Trap for extreme daddy angst!
Oh Phaedra, Before Dean and Wes I WAS BUT A SHELL OF MY POTENTIAL SELF.
I feel like sometimes I should hate him, like when he's super shallow, BUT NO, I JUST LOVE HIM.
Oh man, in Shadow? When Dean was mocking Sam about Meg, and Sam was all "bite me", and Dean was all "Bite her! Just don't leave bite marks"? THAT WAS REALLY HOT. I think Dean should give Sam sex tips like that more often. YOU KNOW HE HAS LOTS OF THEM.
I LOVE Faith its one of my favourite SN icons....I loved the fact they used Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear The Reaper and Julie Benz was awesome in it. I do love that show with all my little heart.
That's funny, because I was just complaining that this episode of Studio 60 wasn't coming together for me the way I wanted it to. Though I think a lot of the problem lies with me because I wanted to see a specific thing (the writers) and felt we got too much of the other stuff.
That's not to say that I thought the episode was bad. When I sat down to write about it I was pleased to find that most of my issues with S60 right now are due to me wanting the focus to be different, not wanting the show to be different.
I kinda gave up on Supernatural a few episodes into this season, but I do remember enjoying Faith. Plus, Rita!
THAT ICON IS SO PRETTY! MY GOD, THE GREEN AND YELLOW!
I would definitely like to see a lot more of the writers in Studio 60, just, in general, but I wasn't expecting to see any more of them in this episode than we usually do. I'm really hopeful that now that there are only a few writers we'll get to see more of them. It's unrealistic to suggest that Matt is basically writing every show all by himself.
What would you like them to focus on? Other than the writing, of course. I'm not sure what I want from the show. Definitely fewer bitter rants would be good. And I'd like them to simplify things. Maybe focus on a core group of characters, because I still don't feel like I know very much about most of them. But I don't really know what it needs. I look at that show and I see a big mess with so much potential.

IT'S FROM THE NEWEST EPISODE, SO I JUST SPOILED YOU! For Dexter being in the episode. On a show called "Dexter".
What would you like them to focus on? It's not that I think they're focusing on the wrong things in the overall, it's that I think this script, in particular, needed a common thread, something to hold it all together. I think Sorkin tried to use the hostage drama for that, but it didn't work for me, it needed to be something more personal. Sorkin has a great talent for doing that, finding something to tie many different storylines together, and I just think he missed the mark here.
Hee! But you were never a big fan were you? No. I'm just not all that interested in the actors, and the brothers bore me for the most part. But the real problem for me was that nothing could overcome the premise, which I find ridiculous. On Buffy (and Angel), I could buy the premise in a completely different way. Most likely because Joss is a much better writer and knows how to make fun of his own creation. The SPN guys seem to take it all so

DUDE, I didn't even realize that half the appeal was in the hoodie! HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT? WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?
I was really enjoying the fluffy unkempt hair of sick Dean. Even though it was barely noticeable. It was like STRAIGHT OUT OF BED, DEAN. There's a definite appeal to that. And I just generally like it when people touch Dean's head and cause him to fall to his knees and make sexy pained expressions.
The comment problem is bullshit. How are we supposed to cope with that sort of chaos?!?

How did I survive without Dean in my life, Phaedra? And he called the scarecrow fugly! OH, DEAN. DEAN, DEAN, DEAN.

Yes! That was such a great little musical montage. I really love the music in general. I totally need a SPN mix right now.
