*pats Arthur on the head* At least you have Alfred! :D
*stares at the space cowboys and pirate part* Oh, I remember watching that from the sidelines on Tumblr! :D *cackle*
Oh? You had to clean your sheets? Well, well... *evil grin*

Yes! I thought it'd be cool to put it as a little inside joke in there. I'm glad that actual tumblr users caught the reference. Even if it is rather obvious. :p
As for the sheets, oh come on. Just because we change them doesn't mean doesn't mean.... :o

I can tell that this chapter marks the beginning of a series of big changes in Arthur's life, and I am convinced that those changes will be for the better - even if I expect a great deal of trouble before the long-awaited happy ending. One only has to observe the reactions and thoughts that Francis elicits from Arthur (frowns, anger, frustration, negative and suicidal thoughts) and compare them with those evoked by Alfred (smiles, good mood, comfort, positive and relaxing thoughts).
I find it quite funny that, while Arthur was hesitating between going to France with Francis and just calling the whole thing off, but was mostly resigned to do what he thought was best for Alfred (even if he hated the option it left him), Destiny has taken a decision in his stead. That's the true sign, Arthur! XD By the way, I love that you used Arthur's canon absentmindedness to make him miss his flight. I find it to be quite endearing a trait for him. (^_ ( ... )
