Day Dress Inspiration

Here are some more pictures I found that I'm thinking of basing my purple day dress on. I'm just wondering how they close... is it a tie on the bodice with the front of the skirt wrapping over to the side or something? Gotta figure it out...

Can't wait to see your spencer! I need to finish mine too. I'm so close, but I need to try it on with my stays to fit the darts, and I haven't had time to get those on...

Also, on photo hosting, I usually just make the photo the size I want and load it into photobucket (or you could use picasa, etc). Flickr works alright with lj, but sometimes it's finicky.

It'll be fun to see what everyone wears. I think this will actually be my first *real* costume event. And hopefully not the last! :)

I made a repro of that white dress! The bodice closes at the center front, but the skirt closes off to the side. I think it is so cool because you don't get an obvious place where it closes - it just looks seamless! I'll have to take some detailed pictures of how it goes together. . .
