GMail For the Troops: Coming out of hiding for a worthy cause

Wil posted about a movement to get GMail accounts in the hands of troops in Iraq. I was given a GMail account recently by teferi and have given out two of my invites. I intend to give the rest of mine to this cause. Right now it looks like the only way to go is with the gmail swap site, but a clearinghouse is being worked on. I know many of you have

So I got a gmail account too but i cant figure out where the invites are that i can give away.... ?

They should appear after using it for a few days. You'll see a link at the top of your inbox asking you to invite friends. Not sure if it matters or not, but I emailed back and forth with some friends before I got my invites. Maybe they want to see you really using it. Or maybe there is a default waiting period?

Sorry, the Quill has been defunct for at least two years now, so there's really no point.

Hello, I'm Marcie and I recently started a group in which betta breeders can TRADE between other breeders to create diversity in their stock. So if you and another breeder in the network mutually like each others stock then you can agree to trade fry for fry, or breeding pair for breeding pair, or however you want to do it. If you breed or even care about bettas then feel free to take a look at the group. Im going to be going around and plugging this site in different places.
