How was she supposed to know shooting the angel wouldn’t do any good? How was she supposed to know she was shooting an angel?
Before it healed up the wound, bullet falling onto the floor from her chest, she could have been anything. She might have been a demon. She’d knocked out her mother with just two fingers pressed to her forehead. What was Jo supposed to do? Shooting it seemed the best course of action.
Now the angel is sitting at the bar, downing shots and Jo still has her finger on the trigger.
“Your mom will wake up in a bit.” The angel says, glancing at where they’ve laid Ellen’s unconscious body in one of the booths so she can sleep it off. “I’m Anna, by the way.”
“Jo.” Says Jo and considers asking if she can shoot Anna again just to get her target practice in. It can’t hurt her after all.
