June 12 of 12. Lazy Days

This month's 12 of 12 was a lazy Sunday for me. No real plans. No real need to get out of the house. Which doesn't really create a very exciting 12, but I did force myself out for a walk, so at least there's proof that the sun has finally decided to come back to the bay area. I was really beginning to think we'd go straight from winter into fall.

love that stone staircase and rail with the tree looming above. looks serene. clearing out those bookselves is good. i know, as i've moved "a few times" and dragging an endless collection of boxes is indeed...a drag!!

i have no problem taking pics in a church. back when i was in college, i did a photography project on an orthodox church. the priest was quite nice, even when i did a faux-pas by attempting to walk behind the altar with my camera. he politely signified to me it was wrong, made me walk in front and genuflect before i continued to photograph the empty church. i was allowed to come back on their easter day, a snowy day, i remember... and i went upstair to photograph the choral, and the church from above. it was fun. good thing i didn't mention i am an atheist... but i truly liked the church itself. i merely emphasized in our conversation the fact that i had been raised by a catholic mother and protestant father. all in all, i was pleased with my pictures and it certainly was different from the other students'...
