Found it!

So at least a year ago, probably longer, Mom rented this movie from Netflix. It was about this man who puts his girlfriend second in his life and when she dies, he's given the chance to relive his last day with her and show her how he really feels. Up until the end, this was a great movie that had a sweet love story. *******SPOILERS! DO NOT READ IF ( Read more... )

If it weren't for the fact you mentioned JLH starred in it, I would've guessed it was a European movie - what with the can't escape fate/destiny (with a twist) ending. The moral of the movie might be the universe demands a balance. Plus, don't be afraid to show your loved ones you love them, but that's rather obvious.

Movies like this should do like fanfic and have a warning label - like Major Death, or sad ending...something so one's prepared or can know not to choose it.

For a remedy I'm prescribing any of the following - Clue the Movie, Oscar (which we've talked about before), Nancy Drew, Mrs. Winterbourne (with Ricky Lake & Brendan Fraser), Sneakers, Down Periscope, Father Goose, Head Over Heels, Last Holiday, Man of the House (who can be down after watching Tommy Lee Jones shopping for tampons & pads while pretending to be a UT cheerleading coach), The Pacifier.

They totally should have a warning. I don't like sad movies and while I understand the ending, I didn't like it. I love Nancy Drew, The Pacifier and Last Holiday. They're so fun. Now I want to go rent movies but I don't know that I have the cash to do it
