Square needs to listen to the fans. I've been slowly disliking Nomura for awhile now and this just justified it. I know I will continue to purchase the Final Fantasy titles (e.g. XIII) but 14 is out of the question. It's just not a game that appeals to me even if I like MMOs.
The FF7 spinoffs were decent to me since I've never played the original despite all my efforts to get my hands on it or to download an emulator. So I'm stuck with AC/DoC/CC to get my information on 7 and this is excluding wikipedia and other websites.
I hope FF13 redeems the FF series after 11 and 12 ;3;
-sigh- Oh Square. Why do you tease us so? I think that FF and KH are both fantastic but... I sort of want it to be back like how it used to be, which is so dumb considering I am not that old, but seriously. The new trailers are all sparkly and shiny and CGI, but that's about it, as far as I can tell.
And still, after all this, I'll buy the games and play them too. -_-
(BTW, stalking you on lj now, hope that you don't mind. ^_^)
I agree that SE should focus on one game and make a epic masterpiece. One with a great story, fabulous characters and a great battle system. Preferably all o them together. While FF12 looks nice and all the story is just ultimatively predictable and boring. I also agree that they should finally finish/work on all of the Games they've been promoting - I'd just love to see Final Fantasy Versus or a FF7 Remake.
Don't agree on FF14, however. I think a Final Fantasy online game is a refreshing diversity from the console games. And since the graphics are absolutely outdated they do need to publish a continuation for FF11. People might argue that they don't see any Final Fantasy contents in the FF14 trailer. Weird, because I only see Final Fantasy content in there. Tarus, Elvaans, Galkas, Chocobos, Summons...
