help!

I bought a lovely bunch of potted narcissus/paperwhites at Trader Joe's the other day which look so pretty and are decorating my table just perfectly.

I didn't realize, however, that they are so...shall we say...potent.

The scent is giving me a headache.

So, my question to you is...

What can I do?Is there a way to make them not so ( Read more... )

Oh, man, a patron gave one of the librarians a potted narcissus for Christmas, and we had to hide it in an empty office and close the door! (Which is to say, I'm not sure what you can do, but I sympathize.)

Hmm. Well, I could put them in my coat closet. But then anytime I needed a jacket I'd have to brave the confined floral aroma. :D

I hope I'll think of something!

Could you put them outside on a porch type thing or in a well-ventilated room? It's luckily not all that cold right now (here anyway), so could you open windows and hope the odor lessens with time?
