Although her beloved horse had been one of the easier things to leave behind in the Copper Isles, it didn’t mean that Sarai didn’t miss her fiery stallion. At their first anniversary Zaimid presented her with a horse shoe.
“Your horse bucked a shoe and needed it replaced. I asked Dove to send the bucked one over,” he explained.
Together Zaimid and Sarai hung it over the entrance to their stables. Sarai was able to glimpse a little piece of home every time she went ridding, which was very often. It brought her all the good fortune in the world.
