Haha, that is full of epic win goat indeed!

Now the real question: Will you be salvaging this or just let it slide into oblivion, never to be heard of again? I know I still have my NaNo 2007 novel lying around somewhere - untouched...

The goat suddenly became my fav character upon re-reading that passage :D

I might pick up the ideas, but a lot of trash has to go. Drama, Mary Sue-ish main role, yadda, yadda. Reading that I was like: oh, my, soap opera.
I do love the universe though, and when I get better with my writing I would like to pick the story up again.

You know, that passage just reminded me of one of our D&D games. I gave one of my friends's characters a staff that could summon goats at will. (Yes, I'm always the one handing out the stupid magic items)

Anyway, it took them a while, but later on in the game they finally figured out the uses the staff could be put to and they started summoning goats from 100 feet in the air and dropping them on enemies (using the table for fall damage) Or summoning 100 goats in one turn and smothering the enemies with it. All totally against the rules, of course, but it was hella fun.

Just thought I'd mention that since you've got that D&D story going.

All totally against the rules,
Excellent. :D
Yep, it's good to tell me this. ^^ It gets me thinking. Thanks :)

The paragraph with the goat in it is a good example of "it's so bad, it's good." Ya know, I still can't quite believe I wrote it. I was writing half-asleep, but it's still no excuse.

Haha! Nice, Elsa.

Gotta love NaNoWriMo ^^

I'm curious, too; are you gonna do something with it?

For now it'll stay as random KB stored on my comp. Eventually, when my writing skills are better, I would like to take it out and try again.
But I think I'm going to experiment on short stories first before trying a novel.

I know you're continuing yours, what are you thinking of doing with it after?

^^ Allright. Short stories are very fun to write. If you ever want to send me one for a review, feel free to ! I love reviewing other people's work.

Hmm. For now, my NaNo novel is just therapy. I don't think I will ever do much more with it than letting some friends read it - and maybe my parents, one day.

I'm writing another story, though; one that I've been working on for almost two years (and then I discovered the YWS, and then NaNoWriMo, and got distracted ^^) that might be publishable one day, in the far future, when/if my writing skills reach a high enough level, lol.

My first writing, back in grade five, was actually a novel-sized story (It's quite adorable in it's absolute crappiness =P but ohmygod it FAILS). I wrote three novel-sized stories before I joined the YWS and discovered how fun it is to write short stories. I'm a *novelist* at heart (EGO xD); I love using several characters and really developping them throughout a story.

[/rant] Yes, we definetely need a ranting icon xD

Maybe I should rewrite the whole thing with the goat interrupting all the time or from its POV... ahaha.
Very nice icon :D

Look at mine, heeeeee.

Those vids are awesome. :DDDDD
I wonder if we can say that the commentary makes the slash even more canon than it already is.
Absolutely loved how Katie and Angel self-slash, ahah.
