This is fascinating! I'm a huge nerd, and I'm required by my doctor to take a handful of vitamin supplements I originally thought were primarily for the pregnancy and while I was breastfeeding, but when I went off them afterwards, I exhibited symptoms that indicated my body had become dependent on them (to a degree - they are effectively combating the reality that with a 2 yr old and a full time job and being a part-time single parent because of my husband's schedule, I don't get enough sleep), so I had to go back on them. This makes me want to gobble up all your links and do a deep dive further down this rabbit hole - thanks so much for passing this detail along!

It's really cool that you were able to learn all this and experiment. I used to take some supplements like that but I can't remember exactly what or why. It's been too long.

Interesting stuff here. I wonder if taking choline even if you don’t need it/ have symptoms would make you even sharper? My hub is terrified of any dementia since his aunt and mom had it.
